Singapore Straits Times Index - Selling Down

The market was unusually weak today. Many stocks gap down and the rally couldn't sustain as the cob wasn't strong for the past 2 days and the market then decided to sell down instead of moving higher. In fact, many stocks had a good small run the past 2 days and then simmered off today which also explained why short term trading is so important now in this market condition if you really want to make $. I studied the Dow Jones chart and it's extremely volatile in the 5 minute chart and also the daily chart. Trading short term is the key towards an unknown territory and I am glad that my student managed to short DBS and UOB yesterday and locked in profits today. The same for the Dow, choppy but using short term trading strategies is the key for success at this current market condition. Read the OCBC supply zone and you will see why short is the way yesterday and not buying it. Congrats to all the wins!
