OCBC - Top Volume Price Declining

OCBC is the only bank now in the Top Volume but with declining prices. The results were not bad but missed estimates where the stock price cannot performed. Even with the Dow Jones up +181 points last Friday, still the Dow had nothing to do with OCBC as the sellers were looking to sell the stock. DBS is the ONLY bank that gap up 30 cents when results was released while OCBC and UOB gap down big time with good results but missed estimates.

So what contributed to this price dipping in OCBC and UOB. I did not trade both OCBC and UOB but rather longed DBS last Friday and made $$ out of it.

Before I trade a stock based on earnings, I would study very carefully at all angles to see where the supply/demand zones were and where the buyers/sellers were hiding in order to predict earnings. For the DBS case, if the buyers suddenly came out last minute before market closed, it meant that at demand zone there was heavy buying and one should follow to long the stock since buyers already show hand.

I remembered seeing OCBC where before the results, the stock was at supply zone and the price couldn't move even though the general market is moving up. Hence, whatever the results it may be, the best is to avoid trading the counter since the direction is unclear. Will share more soon on this observation skill. OCBC is now selling down even further at the demand zone, it could spell trouble for the stock at the moment. I will avoid this counter now.
