Vard gets 24 cents/share privatisation offer from Fincantieri

SINGAPORE (Nov 14): Shipbuilder Vard Holdings has received an offer of 24 cents per share to take the company private from 55.63% owner Fincantieri Group.

With 1.18 billion outstanding shares, Fincantieri's offer values Vard in excess of $283 million.

Vard shares last traded at 23 cents. The offer price is said to represent a premium of about 11.63% and 29.73% over the volume weighted average price per share for the one-month and six-month periods up to and including Nov 11 respectively.

The sellers are for real and they are relentlessly booking profits. There are no real buyers at the moment as the price is still high for the buyers to go in. I expect some more downside before this ship turns again.

Vard had been trending up recently with a fast speed. This counter together with Geo Energy is one of the better penny counters because the good news had been building up since September. When you play penny stocks, select the ones that is feeding with good news on making $ or results beats estimates etc, combined with the right sector and right theme in play, everything will gel together. Today, I expect there will be reactions in Vard as it may first go higher a little more before the sellers starts to emerge.

Vard is tanking down severely. It seemed to have some bad news in the making before the actual news will be released. The stock suffered almost 11% down since market opened. I am mindful and alert about not longing this counter. There are some fear of playing this counter now. My best suggestion, stay out.

Vard - 500 Lots Unloaded, 0.19

Unloaded 500 lots of Vard. The stock revealed some buyers today with a strong surge where it was time for some fast quick profits since the breakout was conducted by some Big Fish. Long 0.185 and sold 0.19, it was a good $2500 profits within Contra. Yet another winning trade after so many wins in stocks like SGX, Anchor Resources, Parkson Retail etc..

Many people asked me for an earlier course but it's all fully booked and the next one is in August 20-21. The good thing is you will have a chance to learn from me and before August course, we can make $ first. The down side is you will have to wait because many students paid for the course 3-4 months back for June - July course. I am glad the people who signed for my course last Tuesday made some $$ even before the course already. Congrats all!

All I can say is tomorrow is the day I will be giving everyone a chance to make $ with Ronald K. See ya'll there, be early as there will a lot of people. I left 5 seats now, after that it's all gone!

Ezra, Rex, Vard, Tech Oil & Gas - Suffered with Industry

A day of massacre and wide spread heavy selling across the board. Every stocks related to oil was not spared and the sellers were cold blooded. The market suffered it's biggest day drop since last month. Most penny stocks did not had a chance of recovery but more importantly the timing to buy stocks today was off and we were starting to short in the morning as posted in my last blog post.

In the morning, a lot of retailers were furiously chasing the market and everything I observed in the Top Volume was so spot on. There was a frenzy amount of buyers thinking that the market was bullish in the morning to only realized that end of day was a disappointment. I am rotating and looking for the next industry to move next. Who's moving with me?
